New Jag Pictures
Hello Folks, I have just purchased a 2010 XF Premium Luxury with 18K Miles. According to the dealer the car is inmaculate as shows the ebay report and car fax. I have not yet collected the car since we are sorting out paperwork. One thing I found interesting is that the car fax report has been updated this weekend as you can see in the pic. Car was taken to dealer friday for what seems to be a thorough check up. I guess any issues would have been reported right?
So whaddaya think of the car and those awsome 20" senta wheels?

Very nice. I had same car, same year, same color, but with wheat interior, and absolutely loved it. They took it in with 20,000 mi, 19 months still left on the lease, for the black on Ivory leftover 2011 S/C i'm driving now......
Your 20" wheels are nice, except they make the brakes look smallish (unlike the S/C)

Rique,
If I was worried about these issues, I would be driving a Toyota Camry.
Since I lease for business reasons, I look at things differently:
Because actually, that is one of the reasons I took the 2011 S/C (besides, you can never have enough power). It's the only model year where All maintenance is free on all Jaguar models, including brakes, etc. Besides, my 39 month lease will be over before warranty expires.
My 2010 NA with 20,000 miles, I did not spend a dime on either (first 15,000 mi. service was free), so the timing was perfect - I walked away before all future services, brake jobs, tires, etc. Also, I had 2-3 minor body dings, and all 4 wheels with minor but visible scratches all of which I would have needed to get addressed before lease return.
I was not planning on doing this ' nice upgrade', but they made me an offer I could not refuse.
As far as moving to the S/C, other than the amazing engine, the dynamics are quite better. Much stronger brakes, better traction/road holding with the wide tires and LSD, much better behaviour on wet roads, noticeably less body roll in fast turns, car feels lighter, plusher interior, and the much better sound system (B&W). So even in every day situations, the S/C hits the sweet spot for me.

Wow, I did not know the S/C had so many bonuses such as the LSD, Larger Brakes and special suspension. One thing I noticed on my car is that it has the premium B&W stereo, leather dash and roof and some other top end stuff. Maybe I got lucky and there is a LSD in there. Car is not a lease car which is good too.
Rique,
The premium B&W sound system is a stand-alone option on your car. Luckily your car has it. My 2010 did not, in the S/C it's all standard. Big difference in the sound.
As far as dynamic/mechanical upgrades, only the S/C and the XFR have these.
There are other small things/standard upgrades, like 16 way power driver seat adjustments, electric rear sun shade, very nice Alcantara headliner material, nicer carpets, different leather stiching on dash and doors, etc.
As far as your comments regarding additional maintenance of the supercharger system - I never had a supercharged car before. Jaguar says there is nothing to do, except change the lube oil for the S/C bearings at 100,000 miles. These things are very reliable - much more so than turbos.
The new production Mustang GT500 (600+ HP) has the same basic engine and similar Eaton supercharger set-up.
So at 470-510HP the XF is loafing.

Rique - Your car has the Portfolio package and the optional B&W stereo, so yes, you have most of the niceties of an SC without the engine and suspension bits. I went with an SC, but a Portfolio equipped premium would have been my 2nd choice.
yup, your car has the Portfolio package - I should have realized immediately with these wheels. The Portfolio upgrade was approx. $5000 on top of the MSRP of the Premium. So you have a S/C , but with 'better gas milage......'
Hey thats great news. I was confused about what was premium package and the protfolio. From the engine pics I have I even thought I had the S/C.
