Hi, guys thanks for allowing me to sign up for the forum. I am new to the Jaguar brand, I bought a 2013 XF 2.2 DT , from Queensland at the start of the month. It had all the Jaguar service records from Jaguar dealerships around Brisbane from New and one owner with 104,000 klms on the clock. The first diesel I have ever owned and the first-second hand car since I was 21 now at 65 years old I am surprising my self buying second hand lol. I had the car checked out all the brakes and so on were fine with around 80% life left in the pads and rotors. I did change the air filter and cabin pollen filter. I then got the A/C service only to find out that the Compressor was gone, the dealership where I bought the car from agreed to pay for a new compressor without any issues. I also bought a set of F Type Propella wheels that are staggered 19x8.5 on the front with 245/40x19 Pirelli tyres then the rears are 19x9.5 with 275/35x19 Pirelli Tyres. I put them on today along with painting the callipers and Hubs Red to match the colour of the car. Funny I had a set of 18x 8.5 wheels with 245/40x19 tyres, but the car seems to be more comfortable with the wider wheels. The only thing I had to do when I bought the car was clean up all the switches and buttons as they were all sticky and gooey if that's a word lol. I squeezed 3 lemons and used that to clean them along with a small about of eucalyptus oil then a bit of rubbing with a microfiber cloth and then look and feel like new.

I did join the British forum but thought this forum was more relevant to Australia etc. I think that will be enough for an introduction and look forward to gaining any information etc for being a member here. Also some photos of the car.

Anyway,

All good here. Its only showing up once. Nice car, nice colour. Similar to my old xj6 that I changed two years ago when I got my 09 3.0d xf. Loving it! Enjoy the experience and happy motoring.

Thanks, being honest the firstJag I have owned and loving the experience so far. I only bought it at the start of February after selling my Subaru Outback that was 10 mths old because I was not using it and only had 5,000 klms. on it. So bought this and insured it for double what I paid for it with that being agreed value. The only problem I have had was the A/C Compressor and the dealership paid for that without any objections, the benefit was they replaced it with a brand new one, not a reconditioned one. I have changed the air filter and cabin filters, so my next job will be to do the oil/oil filter and fuel filter change. I had the brakes checked and they have around 80% life left in them. I am lucky that I can do most of this myself self so save heaps. I was going to take it to a Jaguar dealership just to keep the Jaguar history on the car but I can save over $460.00 by doing it myself self and that's after buying all the oil and filters. Providing I keep all the receipts I think it will be ok if I decide to sell it down the track, but have no intentions to do that.
