Hi folks,

I've been reading and following some of the threads on this forum getting familuar with the XF. I've decided to go ahead and purchase my first Jaguar a 2009 XF. If all goes well I'll be picking it up tonight or tomorrow morning. As a new owner are there any high level concerns or issues I should be aware of with the 2009?

I pulled the Car Fax on the car, it seems to have had a few issues that cropped up early on, resolved and now just normal maintenance as at approaches 30K.

I don't yet have enough experience with mine to tell you first hand, but from what I've read, most of these cars are solid and trouble-free. Every now and then there is one that has electrical problems of some sort or another. It seems it's just luck of the draw. If you're getting a car with some miles on it and the car fax and repair history is fairly clean, then there are probably no worries. If your car was one of the troublemakers, the problems would have surfaced by now and likely all sorted out by warranty visits. Good luck and enjoy your car!
