Exclamation New World Record 1/4 Mile Jaguar Set

I can not find proof that there is any other faster 5.0L S/C Jaguars out there so I am making this post to claim such if proof can not be found.
At least it is definitely the fastest XF/XFR in the World. This was just 1 free pass I decided to make a shakedown run with. There was no burnout box or prep available so I couldnt just floor it. I will return tonight so I can use the burnout box and such and nail it hard to go even faster.

Man, that's a killer time! Just to let you know, I'm not about to let you run just away with it

Are you running street tires? If you're spinning at all off the line, I'd be surprised- your 60' time is really good. Also, are you measuring DA before your runs? I'm interested to know what the effective air density when you're on the track.

In any case, keep it up. You probably **** off a lot of corvettes when that light turns green.

That is a great time.
So Dynamic mode, Trac DSC, 'S' Auto. Is that you TPMS light? What tire pressure did you go down to? Standard street tires?

Good time. How did the other passes go?

Don't you basically just have a canned tune with pulley, filter replacement and catback exhaust? Pretty simple and common mods to make the leap to claiming World Record status. Your other thread said all you found on the net was car mag testing times on stock vehicles that were only about a 1/4 sec behind, IIRC.

Now improved intercooling, dual pulley upgrade, better tune, and cat delete would give you the edge over all the other lightly modded XFR's around the world ... unless or until someone does cams or other head work and then it's going to get really expensive!

Exclamation World Record Backed Up 3 more time!

I don't have to tell you guys how hard this was racing and holding my cell phones as a camera to get proof and the tower guy kept telling me to put it down. I really wanted to use manual mode to go even faster than auto mode but couldn't shift and hold the camera. I even get a shot of the timing clock at the end as you can see for more proof. The noises you may or not hear is the left driver wheel spinning only, there was a E-Diff fault that happened when the diff went bad when I left my driveway that day. From what I hear from when I called the dealer they said there is a recall for a diff overhaul on all XFR's and just to bring it in. I only have 1 wheel spinning all the time and you can see I come off easy from the starting line to not break what left of it or look like a fool with the 1 wheel peel out, lol.
I will be submitting this to DragTimes.com ASAP. Also there is a local Jaguar even Jaguar is holding in my area and 1 of hte guys there heard of my car and wants me to run there new XKR-S. Stay tuned for some video of that.
But now work is calling and I need to haul *** and catch up on what I have missed while I was out playing. Time to clean the car up and give it to the wife, My baby is done with speed and time for much pampering!

I added [url] in front of 2010, pasted it as a new address, and it worked.

haha, that pretty awesome. a 12 sec car is fast in street trim. But a 11
MY 79 El Camino with a bigblock 427 ran that and not near as nice. With some work I think someone could be the first to take a Jaguar into the 10's. Did they give you crap about firejacket. Roll bar etc? safty requirements change alot once your in the 11's. then WAY more in the 9's. Congrats. now get a GO PRO so you dont have to hold the phone

I believe that Alex and that’s with nitrous… I think he’s running low-mid 11s with his tune, upper pulley and air filter

Some of the F-Type guys are hitting good numbers!
Here is a 11.46 time.
F-Type 1/4 Mile Runs

Here is another F-Type running a 11.17 1/4 mile.
Fast F-Types

There are several who have broken into the 10's too. That AWD gives an amazing launch!
Really wish that Jaguar had offered that combo in the XJ. They had AWD but only with the V-6 engine.

Since my XFR lacks AWD, launch control, etc., I'm not really as interested in 1/4 mile times as I was 10+ years ago. The 5.0 SC engine pulls like a locomotive on the highway, but getting off the line with RWD just costs a ton in tires and puts a lot of wear on the parts. Or, I'm just getting old. Yeah, definitely that.
