JAG XF VIN SAJAC0764DDS71519 SILVER 2012
Replaced two door latches due to water ingress and changed all window waist seals, and quarter light seals before they go obsolete.
Water found on some latches inside door - so replaced.

AA replaced battery prior, so door latches also no longer work and car does not lock ( NOTED PROCEDURE, WHAT I WANT TO DO )
Sudden Smart Key Not Found message,now for two weeks
Red pulsing LED at gear selector
SDD talks to car and cycles ignition on, then turns off and display goes blank
Message with "files missing" on PC screen using V131 SDD with genuine Mongoose
Multiple modules with red cross, about 8 on first scan. Can give the list if required.

Aims - to tell car it has a new battery ( and AUX battery ) so to restore locking
Restore immobiliser so ignition on and thus works

NOTES FOUND
Going through the SDD I come to dead ends on the selection chart - especially on immobiliser, non starting etc with NO INFORMATION displayed.
Cannot seem to tell the car it has a new battery either, There is no option for this as far as I can see,

This happens to be KVM but I get the same for the immobiliser too.

anything I do to my car I get a fail and a red cross at the end.

I am happy to pay $3 for a seed generator password but I think this is for engineering a blank module with the car VID. I don;t want to do this. So if anyone can tell me how to tell the car it has a new battery, and unlock the immobiliser that would be great thank you. PS One of the recommendations was to restore passive immobiliser . This made things *WORSE* and since then car no longer says SMART KEY NOT FOUND - and the only way I can get any ignition on is to let the PC try doing stuff. It does turn the ignition, then it all shuts down,

I hope I have given enough information. All the parts I have fitted above were genuine new Jaguar and have cost a fortune but I love the car and want to keep it.

Hello All

Is it just me, or are others unimpressed with v 131 SDD.
I have given a synopsis of my car above. I am a computer professional but I am not impressed with SDD 131 - yes I know it is old and only goes up to 2012 but even so.
It is not actually very clear how to clear simple faults.

I do NOT want to program a VID block or do real engineering. I am just trying to reset the fault I have have and I cannot find it anywqhere in the SDD.

Looks like SDD is not installed properly so I'd get a proper install of some (probably later) version as the next step.

 

go 164 on a new pc man. with a crack it can download cals straight from jlr servers

 

Quick question, do you have a stable power supply on the battery, while running sdd?

 

Hi yes, not only brand new battery and aux battery, connected to float charger.
