Default Network Expert advice required, SCP Network

Hi All

Its been a frustrating couple of months, I will blast through the story so far

2005 S-Type Sport. Bought at auction, not running, no transponder keys, mechanical only key that fits both door and ignition.

Initial Status
SDD 130 and 155 with genuine moongoose PRO JLR shows no comms at all on any module on SCP Network. All other modules fine on other networks except ACC
DTC's include, P1260 as youd expect, but also showing 0 (zero) programmed keys
Cant use SDD to program new keys as SDD needs to also communicate with DDM which is on SCP Network

Discovery
SCP Network is physically ok. No shorts no open circuits, oscilloscope shows messages on SCP BUS, Termination resistors, three of them (FEM, REM, IC) all giving correct resistance to ground
Global Down, with key in drivers door, works as expected. SCP Network inter-module communications are functional.
Borrowed a Snap-on unit from garage, detects all main modules on SCP Network apart from FEM, can use to view status of all modules and activate windows, mirrors, boot lock etc etc. SCP Network communications at OBD port are functional
Using SDD 130 and 155, maybe genuine mongoose has failed, purchased VXDIAG NANO, same symptoms on SDD 155 i.e. SCP Network is not communicating with SDD

I am assuming that this is all part of the anti-theft strategy, but all the jaguar docs I have read so far detail only what happens with the inter-module communications when PATS is doing its checking, I cant find the detail of what he system does when the PATS concludes a theft, and how to resolve when it does.

Thanks in advance to any help to solve this.

Mark

Have you done these checks?

Those are pins 2 & 10 in the OBD2 socket.

If you don't have the correct voltages as described, start unplugging modules from the SCP network one at a time until you do.

418-00 Communications Network has alot of good info.
It was published back in 2003 and has info for the CAN, SCP and D2B.

Hi,

Yes all checks have been done, network is physically fine, as I noted, the inter-module comms are working, its the SDD to module comms that are not.

Start unplugging modules from SCP. With what you posted, FEM first.

I think you've concluded that what others know works does not work for you so I expect no-one can help more, sadly.
