Original Timing belt question.
Hi Folks,
I'm looking to see if anyone knows who manufactured the original timing belt fitted to the 2014 2.2 diesel XFs.
I just recently purchased a 2014 Jaguar XF 2.2 diesel with a full main dealer history. It has 90,000 miles on it.
Issue is I cant see if the timing belt has been replaced. I popped the cover off and it has a Gates belt fitted which looks in really good condition and the crank pulley bolt looks new.
I know in most vehicles the OEM belts even though they are manufactured by Gates or another brand would normally have the car manufacturers logo printed on the belt.
My belt has no Jaguar logo, its just a Gates Powergrip belt which is leading me to suspect it may have been replaced.
I will plan to replaced it regardless but it would be nice to know its been done.
Any help is greatly appreciated.
Cheers,
Lee
