Default overhead map light turns on by itself on bumps

The overhead map light keeps turning on when i hit a pot hold. I know this is a common issue for XF's....i had the same issue on my 2009 XF. but at the time I never did anything about it.

how can I fix it?

Easiest way to fix it is to replace the globes with white LEDs, which will also give you the added bonus of much nicer light than the stock sickly yellow globes.
Plenty of threads around here on how to do it.
One added hint - the globes sit in globe holders which twist in and out of the housing, and those globe holders have a pair of "tangs" on the back which connect up with a ring on the housing to form the circuit. Sometimes those tangs have been bent out just a tiny bit and they don't connect properly, the fix is to gently bend them back in a little bit.
