Default Paddle shifter question

Has anyone hit the paddle shifter and it not change. It has happened to me twice going from first to second..the rev limiter caught it. Am I just slow or is there something I don't know?

Can't say Ive had that experience. I assume you are in D mode?

I was in Sport mode. All the other shift are quick but 1st to 2nd seems slower.

this thread is a couple years old..
i had this same thing happen yesterday in sport mode - twice.. on 1-2 shift only.
2010 5.0 xf s/c.
have had car only for couple months, but not remembering this happening before.
ever figure it out?
