I was wondering for those who installed the LED's, I have related question, but not concerning installation of LED's.
Do you believe the chrome fin could be removed altogehter and an XFR chrome surround trim installed in the openings without modificiations?

Hydra they are not the same as the originals. They are cheap knock-offs that fit over top of the original blades as stated earlier in the post. Thus causing them to stick out further than the bumper. The $1000 blades that Jaguar used to offer (which I also mentioned earlier), actually have to be installed by removing the bumper just like the version on my car and CA-Sport's car.
Yes, I know these are not the same, because I have the original ones mounted in my car (SV6), but this option is the closest in appearance. And I know these lights are mounted over the original chrome trim, but the final result is very good for their price.
Not exatly sure - it's possible the bumper does not have to be removed if one can access the back side (i.e. maybe by raising the vehicle on a lift). The blades however are fixed to the grilles which are "clipped" to the inside of the opening/cut-out on the bumper from behind.
What year 5.0SC are you talking about? They will fit on the MY10/11 5.0 SC.
The place that I ordered my lights from is linked below. What they request that you do is send them a pic of the front of your car. Make sure that you showcase the "blade area". At first they requested my vin number, and they came back saying that they didn't think it would work because I have a SC. Once I sent them the pic of the bumber blade area, everything worked out fine.

The LED's look great. Up here in Canada, at least in my province of Ontario, DRL's are mandatory, so whenever the engine is running the headlights (Bi-Xenon on my SC) come on. If I could use these for the DRL's instead of the headlights I would consider getting them. The wiring changes might be a little complicated though. Have to look into that.
jaymsu, I don't know. My guess is "no" it would not void the warranty. This is a much debated topic to which I think it boils down to what you actually do to your vehicle and what (if any) consequences result from mods. I am VERY conservative so I would not have done this if it seemed shady or iffy.
If you are drawing power from the lighting system then you may cause the FET failure counter for that output to exceed it's maximum, at this point you will have to go to the dealers to get the output reset(DTC clear), 3 times this type of failure on one output and the Body control Module is dead, you will have to pay for a new one plus configuration and fitment.
Don't do it, it's not worth it.

Sorry to bring this thread up again but I am looking at purchasing these for my 09 NA XF. Any concerns with them? I will probably be installing myself and how difficult is it and how does the wiring work. I live in Canada where the main beams are the DRL's. Do you shut those off and have these work as the DRL's alone and do they shut off then when the lights come on or stay on all the time? Sorry again but I am really interested in the LED look of the front end and when purchasing my XF it was between that and an Audi (because of the flashy lights). Any comments are appreciated. Thanks everyone!
