Default Power Steering Flush

Hi, Does anyone know how often and how to preform a power steering flush on a 2009 XF? Thanks.

Tagging along, my car is an 09 coming up on 60k miles so probably overdue.

Im also about to get mine done as main dealer said it was filthy, having indie friend do it, but no way mean to hijack thread just consolidate, but this ever solve steering wheel vibration when turning at low speeds? like parking speeds. ?

When I first got the car, I just sucked my PS fluid out with a turkey baster, drove the car 500mi and did it again. I now have and oil suction pump that I use to change the oil and suck out the PS res dry. I change my PS fluid a min of once a year, I use Redline D4 100% sythetic trans fluid (Per Redlines reccomendation for the 2010 XF).


This is pump I have, slow for oil but works well. You attach it to the tube under the oil fill cap to suck the oil from the engine in the AJ 5.0..
