Any N.A. 5.0L V8's in this years line up?

I don't think we'll ever really see an N.A. V8 in a Jaguar ever again. The good days of pure N.A. horsepower are well behind us.

To me the interior doesn't look as classy and what is with that weird grill emblem? IMHO

Thanks for the link.

Looks OK, but a bit more generic than the current XF, IMO, the interior in particular. I don't like the look of the square of wood veneer on the centre console; it doesn't look integrated with the rest of the design, almost 'tacked on'.

And what's with the misleading "t"? It's not t, it's s! Reminds me of Audi...

...Agreed with your comment. I had a BMW 328i a few years ago. The infotainment display in this new XF is eerily familiar. Seems like they took it straight out of a 328i and slapped it into the dash of a Jaguar. Lazy. I am not impressed with the look of it the new body...then again, I didn't like the look of the XF when it first came out either, but i warmed up to it eventually. I am pissed that they made such a drastic redesign of the interior.

Pretty good review, as for the infotainment so far every review has been for the InControl and not the PRO so I'm curious how much better the PRO is. I really can't speak for the design until I see it in person, but it doesn't appear to be as sleek as my XF, but I think the front end is more attractive. The interior doesn't appear to be as special either, but maybe once I have some seat time I'll see if photos just aren't doing it justice.

I signed up for a drive event happening in two weeks. I am looking forward to see what my impressions are after spending a good hour in the cockpit.

It seems to be a very solid car. I sat in one at the Jaguar dealership a few weeks ago and I felt right at home. I will say though that I actually like the old model (2012+) design slightly better. The 2016+ one is better looking than my old 2010 XF though (I don't care for the "bubble eyes" on the 2008-2011 XF).

The interior of the new one looks really good, and I love the new dash cluster with a nice color LCD with all the info you could ever want displayed in a lovely way.

I'm kind of bummed that there might not be a model to make up for the gap between the supercharged V6 R-sport and the upcoming supercharged V8 XFR/XFR-S. Or will there be something to bridge the huge gap between 340 HP and 500+?

I sat in on at my dealer as well. First of all I really don't like the exterior styling. It looks like a cross between a volvo and a bmw. Blah. No more sexy curves. It will blend right in with traffic more than ever before. The interior is also a let down. That new textured softish plastic trim is everywhere, while leather trimming is scarce and the wood does not pop, plus theres less of it. One of the worst offenders is the heads up display unit above the gauge cluster hump. It seriously looks like it was just tacked on there as an afterthought. No integration at all just plop, there it is.

I would never buy a new Jaguar anyway as the depreciation is absurd and I'd prefer not to light gym bags full of money on fire. But when it comes time to replace my 2012, I hope there is another redesign by then that improves this current example.

I think the looks are okay, wouldn't deter me..But the rest of things about the interior OB just mentioned would turn me off as well..

But the big neg is the fact the NA 5.0L V8's are history...I at one time I would have bet with gas prices so low, that the V8 might of made a come back..

For a brand new car, the interior feels cheaper and less inspiring than the old XF. It is a sad excuse for a luxury interior, compared to the latest competition:

I absolutely agree. I can't imagine what they were thinking. I could have very well been sitting behind the wheel of a new GM sedan. I didn't feel like I was in a special place the way I do with my car now.

Not saying the material quality is the same, but seriously take a look at this interior layout. I am sorry, but if I am paying $60K+ for a luxury car, this is not what I expect. I understand the driving dynamics are great, but still no excuse for this interior.

They both have a steering wheel.
