Default Question/concern with junction box

Recently I had an install of the Escort Passport 9500CI and shortly after my fuel range started reading inaccurate miles. The dealer replaced the fuel sensor amongst other things and finally replaced the junction box. The dealer stated that the 9500CI has short circuited the junction box and the other installer has to find a different method of installing the power. I am continuing to have the issue with the fuel range in my vehicle, so should I just have the 9500CI removed completely? Any thoughts would help.

When I wanted my Valentine installed, I asked my salesman to ask the tech in the back if he would do it for $50 CASH. Done and done and no problems at all. I knew the Jag tech would know where to hook up the power.
