Rear Axle - Difference between base and supercharged?
Hi everyone,
I need a new driver's side rear axle for my 2011 XF Supercharged. I've been attempting to find one on Ebay, but I've been told that there is a difference between the standard axle and the supercharged axle. Is this accurate? Or can I just buy any of the axles for sale in the right year range?
Thanks,
Nate

The XFR has an e-diff (electronically controlled LSD) which is very different to the basic diff and which I suspect takes a different axle/drive shaft.
I *think* the XF SC also has the e-diff but I'm not 100% sure of that.

I've got the same issue. Went to replace the hub bearings due to loud vibration, and the guys at the shop say the whole spindle/knuckle/axle needs to be replaced, as they can't them apart. I have a 2012 XF, and was looking to replace the entire passenger rear assembly with one from a 2011 XFR. It looks to be in pretty decent shape. Does anyone possibly have a definitive answer for this, whether the XFR assemblies are in fact different from the XF? I appreciate the previous response, but would really help to know definitively if possible. Thanks folks.
