Default Rear crossover failed 10k miles after the fronts.

65k miles
If you don’t want to do the job twice, I suggest replacing both the front and rear crossover pipes at the same time. If your water pump hasn’t been replaced also a good time to do it.

Between all those issues and the expansion tank defects, coolant system had been a nightmare on these engines.

I actually was able to get the rear crossover off without removing the supercharger in about 2 hours but I wasn’t able to get it to clear the firewall with that giant wiring harness in the way and out of the car . . . ended up pulling the SC anyway.

Unlike the fronts, your replacing with the same flawed part. No updates. Local dealer here wanted $3000 for the job FYI.

I’d also recommend replacing the rubber hose under the supercharger that runs to the throttle body. The plastic clips that connect it to the tabs on the SC aren’t available from Jaguar but are listed on the LR catalog.

More flawed Genuine Jaguar Parts, AJ813917 the revised upper coolant pipe with a mfg date of 2/2022 has loose plastic from casting.

Here is the second upper coolant pipe I ordered, absolutely shocked at the quality of OE Jaguar parts. This one had a 2/2021 production date. I ended up picking most of the loose plastic with a flathead and rinsed it out with a garden hose and didn't see any more loose plastic with my borescope.

I also cut open the original one I posted above to show you the plastic burrs deep inside the pipe.

Second coolant pipe I ordered.

Original coolant pipe cut open to expose loose burrs.

Would you happen to have handy the LR part number for the clips which hold the hose to the bottom of the SC? I know I could surf around on the Rover repair sites, but I'm in meetings all day. 😓

Also, does anyone happen to have the part number(s) or alternative source(s) for the push-type cable ties which hold various wires and pipes in the engine bay (well, all over the car, really)? Amazon, etc. have various options, but I'm not sure of the diameter of the flanged push part, and Amazon lists multiple diameters for sale. Maybe I should just buy a variety pack or even something which enables me to use separate cable ties?

Land Rover LR011221 clips for under supercharger.

The zip tie clips that hold the wiring harnesses to the rear crossover pipe I ordered on Amazon. Think Sydien was the brand, the description says they fit into
1/4 holes. The clamp that holds that coolant hose to the barb on the throttle body might be reusable but I replaced it. Use a flathead to pop it open and a pair of needle nose to get it to re-clip.

Do you have a part # for the pipe? I'm looking to get in and replace mine, already got replacement water pump and front crossover. I thought I found this one at one point and forgot to bookmark it.

The rear crossover coolant pipe for my 2013 XF 3.0L SC is AJ814053. The 5.0L should be a different part # due to the longer engine length on the V8.

Thank you, that's exactly what I needed. Well looks like I'm just about prepared for my big project next weekend.
