Default Rear side window shades

Anyone buy these aftermarket? I was wondering if they are worth it.

Have you found these anywhere? I had them on my S-type, and they were a Jaguar factory accessory. I haven't seen these anywhere for an XF. The ones for my S-type were $180 for the pair, and that was around 9 years ago, so they are pricey.

I found a couple of dealers for them in the UK.

jaguar interior styling | jaguar shades | jaguar privacy blinds

I've got three little girls all in the back seat and need some shade on long trips.

Interesting. I haven't seen them in the US. They seem to snap in, just like the ones I had on my S-type. I noticed there is one version for cars with the electric rear sunshade and another for those without. I can't see how it makes a difference, as these are installed on the side windows.

I'm not sure if you want it darker or cooler. We went with ceramic window film and absolutely love it.

"Solar heat comes from two primary sources, the visible light you can see and the infrared light you can feel. The Ceramic Series films reject up to 80% of the sun's heat-producing infrared light and 59% of the heat coming through your windows. These films also block 99% of harmful UV rays, helping to reducing fading and cracking on your interior. Ceramic Series films allow 30% to 50% of the light into your car." - 3M

Protecting your little ones from UV is a good thing.

I would agree with tinting as opposed to finding aftermarket shades.

I would consider the tint but the Japanese are pretty strict and I would prefer something I can just remove whenever I want.

Check into it more. Darkness doesn't equal UV protection. There is a clear and very light ceramic film.
