I need to replace the Aluminium Fascia panel on the passengers side of my RHD XF. As this part seems to be prohibitively expensive new, I've been looking at second-hand options on eBay. Some of these are being listed as differing pre- and post-facelift ... but they look exactly the same to my untrained eye.
Was there a change in the internral dashboard fascia dimensions coinciding with the facelift?
I believe the silver panels are the same, but the wooden strip is different to accommodate different buttons for the screen and a different glove box button. I just went through this while replacing a dash in a 2009 car, with a dash from a 2013. In my case, the 2013 dash came with the silver panels, but I used my original ones. So if the same panels fit on different dashboards, then different panels would fit on the same dashboard.
