Replacing door fascia panels

Replacing door fascia panels
I've done the dash panels and I know how those work. Looking at the replacement door panels I had I thought that these would be similar but that appears to not be the case.
I was able to remove them carefully with a pair of plastic pry bars.
However, when I tried to push the new ones in they do not seat tightly and completely. The door panels do flex/move quite a bit.
Any tips out there? Do I have to remove the entire door panel?
Are there clips that attach from the backside that can only be seated properly with the panel off of the door?
Thanks.

On the dash pieces sometimes the retaining clips pit out and sometimes the panel tabs just pull out. There is no other way. Perhaps stupidly I thought these were very similar in nature.
So perhaps those press on nuts/clips have simply fallen out of the backside?
Trying to get my JTIS to work in Win 7 again but no luck so far ...
Perhaps that will shed some light?
