Rotary shifter upgrade!

Rotary shifter upgrade!
I've been looking for something to upgrade my scratched and rather boring rotary shifter and so I could find was a leather piece that required a replacement shifter $$$$$
I recently found through my veneer source while working on my 02 Xk8 a stunning new option for my XF gear selector!! He doesn't even show them on his website!! I simply suggested he make something for my XF similar to the amazing shifter knob got my XK8.
Guess what!! He did already and no one wanted them three years ago !! Well I want one !!
I'll be glad to give the info in a pvt email!! I'll try to add pics. He can match most veneers and has several growler options. Best part is I can install to my existing shifter!!!
I wish I could post photos without a URL !!!!

Here's Mine Installed
Had a break in the winter weather in Wisconsin and had the opportunity to install the Growler inlaid shifter topper I had our buddy Britishautowood make me. Since I have Piano Black interior, he did mine to match and he can match other wood interiors. I did not do a step by step "How To" since it appears above in BigCat09's post. I can tell you it's tough to pry off the old topper. I tried a razor knife and then a micro screwdriver then had to pound on it a little to get it to come off. I did kind of mare the edge of the knob, but there was no elegant way to remove it. The new topper is inlaid and I used a little 3M weather strip adhesive to hold it in. It cost about $32.00 including shipping.

I was thinking I may actually carefully drill a small hole in the center of the old button since there's a recess in the center for a bolt. Then I can insert a screwdriver ans pry it off without damaging the edge.
My favorite style is the chrome vintage growler but I don't like to mix the styles in my XF. Maybe in the new XJ that style works better since the steering wheel actually has the leaper, whereas my XF has the new graphic growler.
He's making me a piano black with the matte silver current growler. I think the matte silver will match the edge of the shifter and the growler will match the steering wheel badge.
I'll post a install photo once I receive it And also if the drill out method works! It'd kill me to scratch the bezel!!
