When I bought the xfr back in November, I hooked up my obd app and monitored my coolant temp. I wanted to monitor temps in daily driving since this car will be my daily driver. I monitored the temps for a couple of weeks.
Though during this time of the season it wasn’t hot like summer time in Florida, my coolant temp for some reason was still hitting as high as 228 deg Fahrenheit on some days just sitting in traffic. The fan would be going crazy. Just driving I would be around 200-210 F. All this with the engine cover off.
I figured now would be a good time to test out purple ice.
While I worked on replacing my supercharger coupler, I removed as much of the old coolant possible and started replacing it with water (not distilled). After putting it all back together and flushing it a couple of more times. I added the purple ice on the last fill of water and have been monitoring my temps the last few weeks on days that were similar in temperature to before.
Sitting in traffic I consistently see temps no more than 200 F and now driving I’ll see temps around 180-193 F.
Once summer comes that will be the real test and hopefully this will help with the heat soak.

Did you ever get any additional info on this? Also, were you running the Purple Ice with 50/50 or in just distilled water (as I think I remember them saying that's how it works best)? I've dumped it into my 50/50 a few times over the years when flushing/filling, but never monitored my temps - just bought it with a bunch of other "can't hurt" stuff while I was in the Auto Parts store, like I always do.
