Screen blinking - Most-Ring-Failure
Dear Jaguar friends
I drive an XFR 5.0 SC 2010 and for a few weeks now the screen of my infotainment system has been blinking (like booting up). I have already checked all the usual sources of error. No water under the seat or in the trunk, no corrosion on the plugs. I checked the MOST ring system with a MOST loop. When I plugged the MOST loop into the navigation module, the flickering on the screen stopped.
The screen still did not switch on normally, but I still assumed that the navigation module must be faulty.
When I tapped the screen for 1-2 minutes randomly, it suddenly came on. The area for navigation was grayed out, everything else worked, except audio...
Now I've replaced the navigation module in the hope of making a difference, but unfortunately that's not the case.
I still have the error U1A24.
The red light are illuminated on all connectors, so I assume that the cables should be OK.
Does anyone have any ideas what I could do next?

I recently bypassed both the Nav and TV modules in my car, the screen now cuts out rarely, but the bluetooth phone connection is very intermittent; sometimes the screen will show no connection, then the screen will reboot and the phone will be connected afterwards. I think probably every one of the modules is at, or near, the end of it's life. I replaced the bluetooth module with a used unit a while back due to the usual drowning.
As I never used the in-car TV except for the pure novelty value, and the nav system is hopelessly out of date, I won't miss either of those, although it's annoying to have a greyed-out menu item on the screen (nav). The lack of, or unreliability of, bluetooth phone connection is much more annoying.
I would suggest you use your MOST loop to bypass the three adjacent units in the trunk / boot for a while- nav, amplifier and TV. If the problem goes away, you can then narrow it down. If not, move to under the seat and do the same.
