Secondary Battery Charge Too High
Hi Guys,
I had the dreaded double beep and no door locks working. Started to go through things and found the secondary battery at zero voltage. Just changed that and updated a couple of modules and now the passenger door locks work perfectly but not the driver's side. At that time, checked the voltage of the batteries with the car running. The regular battery was 14.2 which is within spec but the secondary battery was at 16! Obviously, a problem with the secondary BCM.
So, I need a BCM. Does anyone know if this is a key coded part? Is it a dealer only or can I buy a new or used one online and install (I can update software on my tool)? Anyone else had this issue? Thanks in advance.

That maybe how the BMS is working? The BMS discharge's and then over charge's both batteries at random intervals. It does this so it can model how healthy both batteries are. So unlike old systems you can have high or low voltages. They may mean you have a problem or maybe not? You just can't go by the voltage anymore it's more complicated than that.
Do you have any BMS errors?
I have never heard of an auxiliary battery converter Control Module?? Are you talking about the BMS?
The BMS has nothing to do with the locks. That is a separate problem. Again you need to get the car scanned for codes. I would recommend using an SDD.
Can you find a shop or do you have a working SDD?
