Hi, had my XF S 2011 pre facelift since July and love it, apart from one thing - the stereo. I have no amp and one speaker and tweeter in each door, nothing else.
Recently bought the B & W speakers for the front doors to start of with ( at that point i thought i had amp and three basic speakers in the front doors ).
I've fitted the larger speaker, not really noticed much difference which i guess is down to the standard head unit not being good or powerful enough. Need to cut out the holes to fit the smaller speakers which ill do this weekend.
My question is i found these 2 threads -
Which have been very helpful. What id like to know, is the amp and head unit which Cambo suggests the only combination to get? For example i probably wouldn't get the Jag subwoofer that goes in the spare wheel well. Maybe go for something like an active underseat sub. I think this would get its signal from the rear speakers ?
I may not even bother with the rear surround speakers in the parcel shelf, not sure yet. Im really looking for a decent improvement on whats already there. If i get the head unit that Cambo suggests does it matter what amp i get in regards to power output? Are the B & W and the Meridian amps the same or interchangeable ?
Finally I'm in then UK so would need someone to configure the CCF for me, thanks for help and advice.
Now fitted the mid speakers but slight change of direction. Don't think ill change to surround system, i think its premium system, just all door speakers and sub. How do i find the part numbers for the compatible cd player, amp and sub ? Thanks
Thanks, appreciate that. So many head units there I have no idea which one I need ? The part numbers on there are different to the part numbers on eBay for example.
I think I need a 6 disc head unit and the matching Premium sound amp. So hard to find all the info. Someone must have done before ?
Thank you so much. My search skills are obviously rubbish lol. Ive ordered those, hopefully its straight plug and play with no CCF files needing adjusting. My car has a spare wheel so next step will be deciding whether to go for the Jag sub or an active powered one.
Really ? Seller said theyr'e from same car, would that not mean they'd work without changing the CCF files ?
Yes. CCF and firmware are two different things. CCF tells your car what functionality it has and firmware tells the module what functionality it has. It's good that they're from the same car so now you won't have to flash the correct firmware onto the amplifier. But you still need to tell the car it now has the new functionality, hence editing the CCF.
Thanks, so my next problem is finding someone who can do this for me. Ill probably wait till i get the subwoofer.

Ok, i wont be using the centre speaker. I thought this amp didnt have that output ?
I was just showing you my setup. The XF has different ones. I see from above, you understand now that you will be installing modules that were built for your model (the links I sent) and you also need to use CCF to turn them on as mojo88 notes.
Yes I would wait to install everything before moving forward with finding someone with CCF. An indy should be able to do this for you. The selections in CCF are limited. Good luck!
Good morning everyone! Could someone tell me which parameters in the CCF need to be changed to enable the B&W 440W audio system? We are talking about a Jaguar XF X250 year 2010. I already had the intermediate 320W audio system. I purchased and wired the central speaker in the dashboard, added the 2 medium speakers in the front doors and replaced the rear parcel shelf with the one with 2 speakers. I also replaced the exact amplifier for the 440W B&W system with code 6H52-18C808-DD (the previous one was 6H52-18C808-CD). Now for complete success it would only need to change the parameters in the CCF. If anyone can help me I would be grateful. I already have all the equipment SDD v.165 program cable and power supply for the battery and I have already modified the CCF once to enable the USB port for music.
