I had the same issue with my 2013 XF and still haven't fixed it. I just start the thing by pressing around the edge of where the center section broke out....

 

Hi.. Is that just a sticker or is it hard plastic or alloy? the center part of my switch is broken and only the edges are left. I need this to stick to the edges and not fall in when i press on the center.

They are hard rubber sticker with a metal foil backing, They are adhesive (with a very sticky adhesive), I use it on exterior parts and they have been on for years.

They will stick on the edges of whatever you have left on the button.

I can send to Dubai ( I have an Ex who moved there and Have sent her a few things.

Maybe it's not quite clear,,, I assure you it is broken. It's collapsed in and I can't press the middle of the button as it feels like my finger is going to go through. So I have to press the top left of the button to start it. You can see the crack across the word, 'Start;
