Old high school friend is hooking me up. Just doing the window trim for now.

Pic #1 - driver side trim off. Tomoorrow the passenger side and then to prep, prime, color, clear.

 

Held on with a few screws and metal clips. He said it was fairly easy to do.

Here is the finished pic (car is dirty from the crappy weather here this weekend).

So, what have I done since purchase?

Windows tinted 20% in back, 35% on front windows.
Custom "Jaguar" logo projectors in front doors and front floor foot wells.
Painted black "black pack" window trim


For winter:
ADR "Sickle" 20x8 wheels wrapped with Perilli Sottozero 255/35/20 rubber.
Weathertech floor liners


Still needing done:

Custom exhaust work (need more growl).

about this said its hard to remove these without damaging clips or taking things apart!! A DIY would be great if anyone has it?!

 

I would be very interested in that myself. I want to paint mine as well.

 

Unfortunately I was not in the shop when the trim was removed or reinstalled.

My friend did say that the reinstall action was a pain because the rubber seals were hard to get straight.

He did say about the removal was that the clips are metal and you would need to be very rough on them to break them. (At least on my 2013, don't know about other years).

I was quoted $550 to to vinyl wrap all my trim pieces gloss back, does that sound fair?

I want to vinyl wrap rather than paint because I will have the option to easily revert to stock trim color.

 

To wrap it, I was told the trim has to come off to do it right.

If that is the offer, then $550 is a fair price in my opinion.

 

I've been given a rough quote of $200 to vinyl wrap just the window trim. I plan on exploring available options more thoroughly, shortly.
