Is there a rev limiter on my XF?
Hello
I just got my new XF R Sport 2.0 Diesel on a 16 plate, I was wondering is there a rev limiter to prevent over revving the car by accident on this model?
Many Thanks

Not meaning to sound smart or clever but without access to the ECU the only practical way would be to find a nice empty straight stretch of road and floor it.

All modern Jags have an N or P rev limiter of either 3,000 or 4,000 rpm.
In Drive it varies depending on the motor and gearbox and software controlling them.
On the 2.0 Ingenium diesel I would guess the rev limiter is set at around 5,500 rpm, and as we know it's not much point revving a diesel much over 4,500 rpm.
