Default Throttle replacement

Good morning Jag owners.
On my last oil change around 35,642 it was recommended by the dealership to replace the throttle. Any thoughts?
There were three different packages for an oil change (Good, Better, Best) WTH?
Is there any honor amongst the den of thieves. I would have thought that the dealership would always give their best when it comes to service.
Nevertheless you're already paying around $200 for an oil change. The service rep continued to pressure me into getting extra service all the way out the door.

They give you a reason why it needed replacement?

It was just suggested in one of their packages for oil changes. (Good, Better, Best) three different prices for the oil change. This is what the dealer recommends at this interval.

That makes zero sense. Can you double check what you were reading for the packages? No one, and I mean no one, changes the throttle as part of an oil change.

I'll take a WAG at what the dealer is going on about.
Good = basic oil and filter change.
Better = oil & filter change plus BG 44K fuel system cleaner (commonly used by JLR dealerships as part of an oil change service).
Best = as above plus a bottle of BG Throttle Body & Intake Cleaner, see here: https://www.bgprod.com/catalog/gasol...ntake-cleaner/
If I am right that would explain the cryptic "replace the throttle".

I'm sure that it was the sales advisor job to make the dealership more money off services whether ill advised or not. That's why people hate going to the dealership. OzXFR, you're in the ballpark.
lotusespritse you're correct that's why I didn't go for anything but the basic oil change. This was information that he had on a separate menu that was laminated. Jaguar Land Rover South Atlanta, Ga. can't get anymore of my business.
