Default Tire area noise when turning in reverse

Hello everyone,

First off, I am grateful to have found this forum as it is full of useful information.

I have an issue that I am hoping others have heard about or experienced. Each morning, when I am backing out of my driveway and turn the steering wheel to the left at the end of the driveway, a loud noise comes from what seems like the passenger side front tire. It sounds like something is loose and is getting tossed about. This only happens during the first drive of the day and as my local dealer is quite a distance from home, I was hoping someone else had similar issues and knows of a solution.
I recently had that tire worked on and am starting to feel that perhaps they forgot something during reassembly.

Thanks in advance for your responses.

George

I would check the plastic fender liner to make sure it didn't pop out of place when they worked on your tire.

Default Brake Shields

When I first got my car there was an incredible screeching sound coming from the fender area. It sounded like metal on metal. It turned out to be a heat shield for a front disc brake that was rubbing on full lock. Get your dealer to check for that.

Thanks for the advice. I took the car to the dealer and it seems the plastic fender liner needs to be replaced. The technician was very nice, went for a ride to verify the noise and tried to fix, but in the end he needs to order a new part.

Thanks, Long Islander,, you were spot on!
