Default Towbar wiring sportbrake

Hey folks, just fitted a towbar to the 2013 Sportbrake. I bought a dedicated wiring kit and plugged it all in according to the instructions.
Nothing works.
Before I go back to the supplier about a faulty module, is anyone aware of this model needing to be coded by the dealer to allow the wiring to work?? I was of the understanding that lights would work and the coding would take car of parking sensors, camera, etc?

Any help greatly received. Thanks

Default No dealer coding needed

Hi,
I fitted a towbar to my 2012 XF Saloon and didn't need any coding. It all worked perfectly. And I don't think the Sportbrake would be any different.
Good luck.

Need to probe the inputs. If nothing works I'd look at the ground (-) first. Also, have you plugged it into only one trailer? Might be the trailer.

Removed the Tow bar from my XF 2013. 27Kg of steel being carried around which I don't use.

The tow bar manual is attached, if any help.

See page one!

When I scan for codes I get something Like Tow bar not found. Everything works so not too fussed.

It makes sense that you’d have to code in a factory tow module but not an aftermarket one.

All wiring is good, nothing at trailer socket, looks like something needs "turned on" in the car. Thanks
