Default Trading in my XF for a XFR

I'm trading in my 2010 XF for a 2010 XFR with 39,000 miles. It is black and has the Charcoal / London Tan interior that I love and the 510 HP I am sure I'll want to marry.

Just slightly excited...doing the pee pee dance here. It's being shipped to my door in around 1 week.

Psyched!

(I'll post pics when she gets here - even though it will look like every other XFR)

Thanks guys! I always thought the 300 HP V8 was adequate for a 4 door luxury sedan...until I drove the XFR when I realized I was happy with "adequate"

I briefly considered a CTS-V but then I came to my senses. I will say there's a heck of a lot more CTS-V's on the market to pick from than XFR's!

And what's with those blacked out grills on XFR's? I love the contrast of black & chrome and think it looks WAY better than the black on black.

my auto tech who was swapping my wheels test drove my car to check wheel balance. He stepped on throttle to pass a trailer and was stunned with acceleration. Of course he didn't know it was 470 hp supercharged and it wasn't in sport or dynamic. Just be careful it doesn't get you in trouble with 510 hp in the XFR!

The first time I test drove the XFR and hit the gas on the highway I was VERY impressed! That's the moment I knew I needed one

I always thought the 300 HP 4.2L has nice pick-up but this is an entirely different league!

Lovely cars the XFR shame I couldn't afford one when I bought mine.

So glad I found mine at such a good price. Wouldn't want to have anything less. For my size, the non-R seats just wouldn't do. Plus I like the aero mods. They look aggressive but not too gaudy.

Congrats! Similar to mine I bought a few months back. 2010 CPO Black on Black with 38k on the ODO. I also had to wait a week+ to fly up to Boston and drive it back home.

Wow Aaron same gig! I test drove one in Woburn, MA 10 minutes from Boston with only 19,000 miles. It was at a dealers closing in a few days and the car was filthy, looked beat and they wouldn't finance or take a trade-in so I passed. I prefer the 2 tone charcoal and London tan interior and chrome grill anyway- neither of which that car had.

The chrome grill on black car is a must for me as I love the contrast. I don't like the way the blacked out grill looks on black as att. Better with some of the other colors.

That's funny. I feel exactly the opposite about the chrome grill on black. It draws too much focus to the grill instead of the car. It's amazing how we can look at the same thing and see totally opposite things.

Ya, that's my dealer and I'm not happy about it!

North American Corporate demands combined Jaguar/Range Rover dealerships and required my dealer to either add the complete RR dealership or sell the Jaguar franchise to someone willing to take on both lines.

New dealer will be considerably further away from me.

Damn

It was really odd. They were all discombobulated! They weren't very clear on their situation as to whether it was a sale or just a move but the fact they weren't taking any trade-ins was a hint.

It IS funny how 2 people look at the same thing with different views. I love the grill! I wish the 2010's had the "R" moniker on the grill though!

That's an easy fix

where did you buy the R moniker for the grille? Is it the screw on one, orr sticky back one?

It is the sticky back one. It was on the car actually when I bought it (the previous owner had it on the ACC panel for some reason). I relocated it to the grille with some strong automotive tape and maybe a tiny dab or two of superglue. I am pretty sure you can buy them from any dealer, Ebay, etc.
