Trunk Harness Replacement
So I was in to the dealership to get a quote for my trunk rust repair. $1600. I guess i wasn't shocked.
At the same time today my trunk decided to stop opening. Both from the latch on the trunk and the button in the cabin. Drove back to the dealership and they said I needed a new wiring harness. I guess some of the wires must be broken from the constant flex and rapid temp changes that we've had in the toronto area. As an added fun surprise, now when I start the car the trunk automatically opens and it takes two attempts to close it each time (I guess the latch must be stuck in place)
Has anyone ever experienced this wacky situation with the trunk wiring harness? It made sense that the harness was the issue but now that the trunk pops open when I start the car I'm not sure what to think. Good thing for my warranty.
