Default TRW Handbrake / Carbon Ceramic Retrofit

Hi,

does anyone know if it's possible reprogram the cars CCF to use the TRW park brake module?
I'm trying to retrofit Carbon Ceramic brakes from an F-Type, I've worked it all out apart from the handbrake control.

Me either but yes awesome!!!

Where did you pick that up and how much?

Can't get a way to keep the stock park brake caliper?

Hi,

On the XK-RS GT Is anybody able to confirm if the separate hand / park brake caliper itself is mechanical and actuated via motor and cable like the rest of the XK's or does it have an electrical TRW motor like the F-type?

Details on the park brake caliper are very scarce.

thanks

Unfortunately not, the stock park brake is built into the rear caliper.

I've finally solved the park brake caliper problem with this retrofit, nobody was able to help with the retrofitting of the newer Park Brake Control module to the car, so I've tackled it the other way. The XK R-S GT was the only car to use this park brake caliper in mechanical form and not electronic, problem is Jag will only sell you these if you can prove ownership of one of these cars and then pay them £1300 + tax each!!

I have a set of rear electronic calipers, which came with my rear Brembos from a F-Type R. I unwound the motor so the piston was disconnected and then disassembled the caliper and took it to a machine shop, they are reworking the casting to be mechanical operation.

I've had new bells made to push the offset out 4mm so the rear wheels clear the new caliper.

Final task is the park brake cables.

I can almost see the end to this and will post photos when finished.

We're going to need a lot more photos once you get this wrapped up .
