Default Tuning through OBD-II port or directly through ecu?

Which is the better way to tune the s/c XF? Singh motorsports in CA can upload the info if I send them the ECU, but be w/ the car for 3 days. Eurotoys can upload the info directly through the OBD-II port if I take the 300 mile drive.
Is there a better option? Eurotoys of course said better through the OBD-II port, Singh said they made the software to do it on the desk top so the car didn't have to be uploaded through the OBD-II port.
Thoughts, comments concerns???

It doesn't matter how you update the software, both methods are viable.

thanks avos... Mike at Eurotoys said he uploads my cars info to the UK via wifi, then they send back the correct upgrades and he imports them to my car. He said it's better going through the OBD port because he can make sure the programming go through properly and that all other systems work as they should.
Sounds good, but thats the only way HE does it, so I wanted to see of he was just saying it, or there was truth to it.

It is more that Mike doesn’t have any other way (except shipping the full unit), he can only do it in a way that the tuners offering it to him, so it wasn’t fully correct what he said then. Not sure where he gets the tunes from, I assume it is from Viezu in the UK.
Singh on the other hand seem to be into tuning themselves which might be an advantage in case you want some more adjustments (for whatever reason), but on the other hand Viezu might have more experience with Jaguars.
Remember that once the ECU is reprogrammed you still need to drive a bit before everything has settled, so if you are planning an after dyno, do it only after some time.

Avos, would you recommend sending the ecu to Singh, or driving it to get tuned through obd port?
Eurotoys is 600 miles away, about a 10 hr drive. He is willing to meet me half way for an extra $300. Well worth it to me to save the 600 miles, gas $$$ and 9-10 hrs of driving time. Plus, I don't go 3 days w/o my car!
I will ask Euro who he gets his software from in the UK and let you know.

Just spoke with him... Yes, it's Viezu he gets his software from. Is that good? As for Singh, he told me he created the software to do the cmu w/o having to have the car there in person.

How you download the software on the chip really doesn't matter, with or without car, the end result is the same.

As Mike would be closest to you, and Viezu is known on Jaguar tuning, I think Mike would be the best option.

Just spoke with Gerald from Viezu, he verified that Mike at Euro is one of their dealers for the Viezu software/tune. Hope that's a good thing!!!

Did you notice any gain from the mina exhaust? Site says 10-12 hp.

I know you did that 1st then the pulley.

Very curious to hear your feedback regarding the tune with your mods (exhaust + pulley). If its worth the $1200 with the exhaust + pulley you already have.

They say another 25-30whp roughly with the tuning right?

That should definitely be felt.

Just dyno'd the car on a Mustang dyno... Ran 332 rwhp and 351 PBS of torque. Mock 0-60 was 4.5 secs.

Seems low for exhaust and pulley?

If its 18% drivetrain loss and its 420 hp stock... That is 75 hp.

The pulley alone adds 25-30 whp.. so that means stock your car would of been sub 300 ?

I know Mustang dynos run lower numbers typically. Any other cars that get done there that are stock that you can post what they ran? - is this known as a low reading dyno?

Idk what stock rwhp is on a sc xf. I tried to google it and couldn't find it. My buddy has the exact same one, but stock. I just texted him to see if he would dyno his, I even offered to pay for it.

Also, the car shifts at 5800 rpms in BOTH sport and auto... Power curve was still rising when it shifted. Guy said if it would rev out further, it would produce a lot more power.

Mustang dynos always run pretty low so I wouldn't be worried. Run it with the paddle shifters and it won't shift unless you tap it. You can run it to redline then. Don't run it in auto mode.
