Tyre pressure sensors
I recently replaced the tyre sensors and now I have a tyre pressure sensor fault.
I had warnings on 2 wheels saying they weren’t being monitored due to a fault, garage recommended to replace. It was cheaper to buy 4 than 2 individual so I replaced them all, now instead of getting a fault which shows 2 wheels I just get a warning there is a tyre pressure issue.
I have a obd scanner (although it’s not great!) and I can’t see any faults.
anybody dealt with this before? When I looked into it they should have just synced automatically.
appreciate any advice.

As for your situation, assuming you posted in the X250 area, you have a 2008-2015 XF, The one thing that I have found extremely particular with these cars are the TPMS. These are extremely sensitive, and a garage has to have a lot of experience with the XF sensors or they do not get them to match as they assume any of the generic brands will be picked up with the car's sensors and mate with the TPMS module, mine run off the 315mhz.
I have had very bad luck when adding winter tires and rims to my 2010 XF, I tried 3 different brands of sensors which all declared to work seamlessly with the XF but would fail communications within a day, I ended up having to purchase 6 OEM Siemens VDO sensors (The original ones that came with the car had the Ford branding FoMoCo on them but the new ones has the Jaguar brand, unfortunately 2 of those didn't read and I had to swap to get all 4 reading hence why I purchased 6).
The 3 brands I tried prior to the Siemens where the "Standard Motor Products TPM58A", "Continental VDO SE52081" and the "Autel MX-Sensor, 1-Sensor" I was very disappointed with the Autel as it was promoted as being 100% cloneable and no re-learn.... never could get my car to continuously read them. I got to the point that I was looking at replacing the antennas and module, but I found the Siemens on sale and thought I would try them first.

I can confirm that these will work on the XF 2.2D 2015. I changed mine on my winter tyres and they recalibrate without any problems, I just drove for about 20 minutes and they all recalibrated and faults cleared.
They have been on my car since October 2024 without any problems at all.
I hope that this helps.
