Default Upgrade from NA to SC without buying the whole car?

Is it possible? I am sure it's expensive, but for the sake of argument, how much would one pay for the parts and labor? (Assume it's done at a Jag dealership...)

I'm happy with the 385 my 2011 has, but I wouldn't turn down more horses...

I would say go with a good tune and some light bolt ons like a complete exhaust, intake and makybe find some matching under drive pulleys for the N/A motor.
You may even see a lil gain with those mods and a water injection kit. Or find a E85 tune ,that will wake it up a bit. Going the S/C route is all fine but just may not be practical and cost effective for your gains.

I thought about going that route, but the question becomes one of warranty. I was told by my dealer that bolting on parts to the motor would void the warranty (he got his info from the service peeps).

Doesn't matter...when I win the lottery tonight I'll buy the "R-S" version of each Jag model. <grin>

Generally the motors are different so it might not be safe. The manufacturer usually beefs up the SC motors. I think someone said the compression was different between the SC and NA motors. That would mean the internals are different.

Hmm...if that's true, then yeah. Not going that route for sure. I've been thinking about just chipping the car and being done with it. The exhaust may be an option too, especially if it changes the "note" a little. (No, I'm not talking about fart-can note...more of the V8 growl goodness is what I'm after.)

Cannot be done without rebuilding the engine. Compression ratio is lower on the SC engine. Period.

Way, way cheaper to buy the whole car and sell yours.
