Default upgrading head unit to 2012?

Any techs here know if it is possible to update the main unit (whatever controls Bluetooth and the actual interface/nav screen) in a 2010 for example to the latest and greatest? Seems to be the only thing in the car I would maybe get sick of not having the most up to date equipment for. And the sexy new 2012 front end, but I wouldn't spend too much time looking at it from the outside anyway. I would be however forced to deal with the head unit lol.

Thanks in advance.

Just asked this question of a senior electrical development engineer at Jaguar, "no chance".

The front end change is possible but probably not worth it. The lights actually have the same connectors and mounting points. The only problem is that the hood, fender, and bumper are slightly different for the new light shape. So if you replaced those it would work.
