Default Water pump installed incorrectly?? Please help

Replacing water pump and new pipe and o rings on my 2010 XF. I installed the pipe first and then slid the water pump on and torqued the x4 bolts to spec and noticed this gap. I have had trouble before trying to get it to sit properly without leaking. I did set the pipe to the correct orientation but just wanted to see if any of you guys who have replaced multiple ones if this looks right. Have the supercharger off now and thought I might as well try to get it to sit right before putting it back on. Thanks!

Only use coolant as lube for rubber in the cooling system.
Also do NOT use the WP bolts to draw the seals in place. Possible to cause leaks that way.
Push the WP on and over the tube and it's seals.
Glad to see the Aluminum transfer tube too!

Silicone grease is good for nitrile, EPDM, neoprene, etc. What material do you think the o-rings are? I would assume they are nitrile.
