Default Water pump rear coolant pipe

Does anyone know positively the correct orientation of the oil cooler plastic pipe that runs behind the waterpump?

I followed a couple posts on here that have the orientation listed as photo #1. I installed my pump with it this way. I used a new pipe and both new orings.

Doing further research I found photo #2 which seems to align better with what is published on Jaguars official service information and makes more sense to me. The tab prevents the pipe from pulling out when you remove the water pump by aligning behind the metal of the engine block/front timing cover and seems to align with the cutout in the water pump.

I just had installed my water pump but hadn't reinstalled the supercharger yet so I went back out and was able to rotate it with my fingers rather close to photo #2.

I'm praying for no leaks. I do not want to have to reinstall the pump with the supercharger installed.

Thanks!

I just did mine and used orientation 1 because that's how the old plastic pipe was oriented. I'm not sure it would make much difference really, I remember at the time thinking that it really didn't look like it would matter how the pipe was rotated.
