Default Wheel bearing problem?

@012 XF Portfolio. When the steering wheel is turned even the slightest bit to the left while moving you can hear a sound that sounds to me like you are riding over rumble strips. When the wheel is brought back to center the sound goes away. No such sound when the wheel is turned to the right. Could this be a bad wheel bearing on the left front wheel. I just had the tires balanced and rotated and there was on change.

Since it started with the tire rotation/balance I doubt that it would be a wheel bearing issue. Take the car back, have all four tires removed and check for some kind of obstruction, bent brake shield...etc.

It did not start with the tire balance/rotation. The problem was there before I had that done. The jaguar service tech's could never hear it (they must be deaf). I did the balance/rotation to see if that would change the sound any, but it did not. So that ruled out the tires being out of balance.

This year had my front right bearing replaced. From the sound of it, similar to a jet or scrubbing sound, I figured it to be bearing. I could even feel a little vibration in the steering wheel.

It was a booger finding someone that could work on it. Not cheap either!

This time when I take the car back to the dealer I am going to have someone ride with me so I can point it out to them. The car is still under the factory warranty + I have the extended warranty, so I do not plan on paying anything.

I too had a bad wheel bearing on my '09. They make a grumbling noise when you turn one way but not the other.

Default Wheel bearing problem?

Sounds like the bearing

Check power steering fluid level too. My power steering pump leaked and I got a similar grinding / vibration on turning the wheel - started off intermittently. Think that would do it both ways - but easy to check the fluid just to make sure.
