It's in the right place now.
Don't forget to post that intro in the new members section.

On LHD models it is in the extreme lower left of the dashboard, next to the trunk (boot) release. On RHD I have no idea, maybe extreme lower right.

On both LHD and RHD it's immediately under the boot (trunk) release button/lever/switch.

What does that button do? I have it and haven't seen any effect of pushing that button. I thought it was a decoy or dead fuse to regular fog lights.

It turns the rear fog lights on.
One "extra" red light in each rear cluster.
They only work if you have the headlights on.

Yes! Someone following too close at night and I turn mine on. I turn it off when there's separation. They must think the car has a sensor for someone following too close.

Of course, I think I opened my trunk by mistake once....

Hmm... maybe a die cut label could be placed on those lamps to provide the tailgater a certain personal message....

That's funny. You could get a spring loaded maniquin to pop up out of the trunk and really give them a scare. I don't even know what I'd do if a trunk popped open while driving and what looked like a person jumped up.

Mine doesn't open if the car is in gear.

Mine does open in gear. Sometimes have to open it for security check at airport and it definitely opens in gear for me. Not sure about if the car is actually moving though
