I have seen a few mentions of this, but nothing certain about the cause and remedy. The last few days I have noticed a whining sound coming from somewhere ahead and to the left of me (as the driver) at around 50mph. it seems to be very speed sensitive (i.e. goes away suddenly if I back of the gas). Any ideas what it is, how to fix it and why it may have just started? The car has been sat idle for a couple of weeks while I was away, but otherwise, all systems normal... It certainly sounds like it is airflow related, but I can't narrow it down!
