To clarify, are you discussing the actual mirrors folding in or adjusting downward when reversing? I know my XFR has the latter, but didn't think the mirrors would actually fold inward when parked. Please let me know if I'm incorrect.

 

In the USA, the mirrors do not fold in to protect the mirrors. You can press the two buttons all you want.

They do angle down when in reverse.

I was looking for them to automatically fold in. I was under the assumption that they didn't even have the electric engine to do the folding. However, if everything is there but the ECU bit must be flipped....I am heading to the dealer.

+1 on heading to the dealer if it's just an ECU setting. does anyone know if this is true?

 

I have tried. Dealer claims either the motors are not there or they are not given a code or allowed to reflash. If anyone ever finds out differently I would like to know. I want all the features designed into the car that I have paid for.

 

GLOBAL WINDOW CLOSE....so I had the XFR in today and they told me the ECU needs to be reprogramed/repaired to allow the function to work. NOT COVERED under warranty, as I am not under manuf warranty anymore, nor extended warranty!??! So WTF - paid them $185 to make it so.

As far as folding mirrors - they told me this was an optional extra - mine doesn't have it.
