Dear Mates,

Seeing a weird issue with my XF 2013 from the past couple of months. Car unlocks fine. I push the brake and press the start button- it starts to crank but suddenly stops. The indoor light, instrument panel light and main display lights go off. They all come back in a second, the AC vents open and i get a warning that ignition is on though the engine has not started. Workaround- I have to exit the vehicle, lock, unlock and proceed to start again.

Have anyone faced such an issue and if so any solution for this?

I'd start by checking the connections at the battery and the starter motor.
