Default XF 3.0 V6 2010 -Annoying snarly sound

I have had my Jaguar XF 3.0 DV6 S aut from 2010 for 2 years. My problem is an annoying, snarly sound that occurs at 2.000 RPM. The sound only occurs while driving. Not in P or N. The sound is mostly present in cold weather and when the air is dry, while it is less prominent at temperatures above 15 degrees celsius.
Unfortunately my authorized dealers workshop has not been able to locate the origin of the sound and then eliminate it. So my question is if any owners of a similar XF model have experienced the same sound problem and more importantly if a solution has been found.

Quite likely you have what is known as "fuel line resonance", a common issue on earlier 3.0 diesel XFs. I had it on my old XFS but only mildly. On cold mornings, before the engine got to full operating temperature, at around 1,800 rpm.
See this post on another forum for some info: Droning at low speed - Page 2
The most common fix attempted by dealers is to replace all three fuel lines (which sit under the motor), but this is not a cheap or easy job and it is not guaranteed to fix the problem.

Thank you for your help. You're the first person with an actual suggestion to what the problem might be. I will contact my dealer and hope for the best.
