Jagular - I find your experience very interesting, as I too had to have my XF Flatbedded to the closest dealer for the Gear Shift Knob that kept getting stuck in Park! The extended warranty that I purchased covered that issue, but it has been about a month since that happened and all of a sudden I get that low battery message on the Nav Screen. It has only happened twice, but I have noticed that the key fob hasn't been working as well as before, hence I thought that maybe the fob might need a new battery. God know when it was changed last! I have both fobs and the second one doesn't work at all to open the car! I will get the fobs fixed first before I replace the car battery. I checked the car battery in the trunk and it has Jaguar on the top and actually looks fairly new and obviously is original equipment! I purchased this car a year ago this month and I only have put a little over 5,000 miles on it, being retired, I don't drive that much any longer, but love the car! Thanks for your help!

Thanks Vapourtrail for your helpful information! Do you mind me asking what dealer that you go too in VA? Also, how much did they charge you to replace the backs of the Fobs!? I just figured it is a battery in the Fob that needs to be replaced! Thanks Again!

Just out of curiosity, does your "new" battery have a small probe like an audio plug, sticking out of the back side of the battery ? Mine did, and when the dealer replaced the battery they put another one in that had the same connection. When I asked what that plug was for, they said it came with the mfg. batteries so that they could keep the batteries trickle charged when stored, but he was surprised that the replacement had the same set-up.

Apparently, you cannot just replace the battery, according to my service manager. They replaced the entire back of the fob and it came with the battery already installed. There is some sort of resistance problem that develops which requires the back to be replaced. Mine was replaced under warranty.

I purchased the car and have it serviced at Brown's Jaguar in Richmond. Considering traffic, it may be just as quick to go to Richmond as into DC for service.

I just noticed that the Walmart EverStart battery I posted above for my XFR is the same 2 batteries I put in my F350. I must say they are very strong as this F350 gets lots of abuse, I mean lots of abuse as I have lots of thngs hooked to them.
I may just grab one and use it in the Jag, cant go wrong for $109!

Hey, from the look of your name, I assume that you drive an XF 2010 Premium as I do. Did you end up getting this Interstate battery? I suspect I will need a battery replacement soon because my wife claimed to see a bad battery wording on the screen.

Any AGM battery is a good bet. Check to see who has the best price for a group H8 AGM battery in your area. Check Advance Auto, Autozone and Pep Boys.
