Hi everyone, I changed the rear pads and disks on my 2014 XF Sportbrake last week and as part of the handbrake reset procedure I disconnected the battery. Ever since this neither the central locking nor the electric tailgate (only when going up) will function. The alarm still activates on the car when pressing lock. When the boot lid is up, pressing the close button will electrically close the lid. If I obstruct the lid whilst it is going down, it will automatically lift itself back up.

The up function on the boot will not function through the button on the boot, the in car button or the remote keyfob.

Has anyone come across this and does anyone have a remedy?

Hi, I've recently purchased a 2013 XF Sportbrake 2.2 and twice now the tailgate has opened by itself, first time I noticed was on an afternoon, just went out and closed it, thought I must have pressed the button on my remote by mistake ... then today my neighbour came and informed me that at 01.30 this morning his wife noticed the tailgate was open, he went out and just pressed the close button and obviously it just closed but its worried me, anyone had this happen ? Obviously there are no garages available at present ...
