Default Xfr 2010 headlights to dark. Any help?

So I have a 2010 Jaguar xfr I have replace the headlight bulbs with Xenon higher-intensity ones but they're still not bright enough I feel like I cannot see at night correctly can someone please tell me what I should replace it with to get the brightest possible white light I can get and what lumens I should get and if they know a brand name on eBay I can order them thank you so much for your help and also the high-beam should I change it to a white also and what are the number and the model numbers I should get for these bulbs I'm seeing all kinds of misinformation and I'm getting confused

Are you sure you're changing the right bulbs. The XFR should have the bi-xenon setup. There is a HID bulb (D1S) which does normal main beams which you use most of the time. Then on high beam the HID goes full beam plus a halogen (H7 or H11 - I forget) comes on too. So you get double bulbs

Is your issue on full beam or dipped? If it's on dipped I'd start by checking the headlight is adjusted properly. There are two Allen key screws on each unit to adjust the beams up/down. Many are set too dipped and don't illuminate the road properly. Search on here for a thread with details of how to adjust
Also the headlight unit plastic tabs can break so the headlamp rattles around. Pretty easy to fix using a flat metal washer

Yes check the alignment. I upgraded my XJR to the newer LED lights and thought the same things. Just not very good light!
Put tape on my garage wall and started measuring things. Raised the lights almost 2 inches higher than they were. Still I think a bit low as I can run brights without anybody flashing me but MUCH better lighting now!

I put these on my high beams

I recently polished my lenses and ceramic coated them. You might get your lenses clearer too

I think my XFR has the best lights on any car I have owned or seen I'm kinda confused why you think its bad?! Can you post a picture? I'm in a rural area so there are no street lights so I actually depend on the lights a lot. I don't want anything more than I have or it will be ridiculous for other drivers. I have had multiple Lexuses and Toyotas and every single car I have bought from them I thought the lights were $#!*. That was literally the first modification I have done on all my cars is better light bulbs. With my XFR is the first car I didn't even touch the lights for 5 years being they were more than adequate. I just got better High beam bulbs this year because I didn't like the color of the light being yellow next to the HID. So I got the 20,000 lumen bulbs. They are bright. I'll have to take a pic and post it here later. I don't think ANYONE would think my lights are poor.

Are you sure you have HID? Maybe the chrome reflector inside the projector has the chrome flake off or something. I had that happen on my Lexus SC before. I replaced it and its decent now. But even with HID and new reflectors it doesn't touch my Jaguar XFR light output.

i have HIDs and the low beams are very dark as well. High beams are great though. I replaced the lows with supposedly brighter ones to no avail. They aren't as bad as my old Lincoln Mark 8, with lights so bad we tried to get an NHTSA recall on them, but they are no where near as good as my Lincoln LS.

A buddy of mine has a Lincoln mark VIII and I agree you can't even see the light on the ground when he turns on the lights lol. They are among the worst I have seen! more like candles than lights. Almost as bad as a Ford Ecoline commercial van from the 90s. You almost cant tell they have headlights on when looking directly at the light.

I wonder on the XFR if the chrome on the projector reflector is susceptible to coming off on certain cars. Some projectors have that issue like my Lexus SC.

Are the low-beams pointing too far down? I couldn't see well with mine and they were just adjusted too dipped. Easy fix with an Allen key.

Anyone look into upgrading the factory ballast to 55w ballast?

I would check the aim. Make sure they are aimed correctly. Your Bi-xenon are bright. Is your high beam working?
