XFR vs. Lotus Evora in Road and Track
Big, heavy, 4 door sedan agaisnt a 2 seat sports car that weighs 1/3 of it. Interesting article. Our XFR held its own and then some. Straight line it was faster but they did the track test on a small road course.
I'll take the comfort and power of the Jag all day long.

The only thing the two cars have in common is they are both made in the UK! I think the XFR acquitted itself rather well, given its much different mission.
Lotuses are about spartan minimalism. Light weight and handling are paramount.
The XFR is about having your cake and eating it. Ultra high performance along with comfort and convenience.
I wonder if the odd handling balance/transition reported in the article can be dialed out with a different tire choice (like the new Michelin Super Sports). Will probably know soon enough since none of the ultra sticky tires lasts very long.
