Default XFR X260 MAF Sensor/Housing on a X250

Hi all!

I've had my X250 XFR for a couple of months now and I really miss hearing the supercharger whine from my Audi S5.

I'm looking at modifying the intake however the MAF housing is integrated into the airbox so my simple question is can you use the Bosch MAF sensor and housing from the X260 on the X250 and then fit a cone filter?
The pins look the same but will the ECU be happy or sad?
I'll be getting a heatshield fabricated up and modifying the current cold air feed. I've got a baseline dyno run so if it loses power or runs awful then i'll put it back to standard and live with the lack of whine

Thanks in advance!

I too searched for the answer to this question, but never came up with an answer. I wasn't willing to spend the money for something that might not work so I just cut the factory air boxes down to do what you are describing. This essentially makes them the same as the newer MAF sensors.

Very interesting, thank you, I wanted to avoid doing that but it looks like I won't have a choice!

How does yours run with that set up and I assume it's quite loud now
