I'm trying go get my old banger sorted. I've rear that there are some cheaper MAFs out there. Having an early model, my MAF is not removable from the housing - at least as far as I can see. Can I still 'upgrade' to a later MAF?

If you run a google or bing check on the part#, you should get a list of cross reference numbers from one of the hits. I'd try it on Amazon also, they tend to show multiple cross reference numbers....ebay sometimes does it.

 

I think a few people on here had to swap out 3 wires from the ealy MAF sensor to a 99' on up sensor. I have found sensor and tube to wire in but, no diagram yet to switch them around.
